In the Beginning
Victoria Davenport and Ruth Oberg wanted to start a business that would best express ones true feelings through more than just words on a card. They wanted their company to be both innovative and organic and also mindful of maintaining an elegance to their pieces which would allow them to stand out from the already numerous organic card and invitation companies out there.
Organic Cards and Images
The Web Muse & Co. asked them to send some physical samples of their cards to get a better idea of how to capture the cards into the web design. When the box arrived we all thought it was Christmas! These were the most beautiful, elegantly organic cards we had ever seen. Each one was so different as if they each held their own energy. The paper, the designs – everything was beyond first class.
The best investment these ladies made was getting exceptional photographs by professional photographer, John Peelle www.peellephoto.com He was terrific to work with and provided us with properly formatted images so we could create the flash gallery.
Site Details
The website is html with Flash inside so it is search engine friendly. They are currently #1 on Google for the phrase: “organically elegant invitations" and #6 for “inspirational wildflower cards". We recommended and implemented 1ShoppingCart for easy purchasing by the visitors. The background of the site looks like the seeded paper that is used in all their cards. Everything is plantable and eco-friendly! The music encourages the visitor to stay on the site longer and browse the Gallery. The navigation is simple and the focus is on the Gallery.
Recommendations
The site was recently updated with new galleries and images. Adjusting and changing the keyword phrases to match the new content will be a good idea for multiple indexing with the search engines. Marketing and networking online will bring more traffic to the site if they continue reaching out to their target audience. Ruth & Victoria are utilizing the Internet and offline marketing to maximize traffic to the site.
