Maestro Conference
I participated in 3 teleconferences unlike anything I have ever experienced before. This technology is truly cutting edge. Each call had over 250 participants and the administrator was able to place us in groups of 3 called a “breakout session”. So it felt like you were actually in a room with the other 2 people to discuss and share experiences based on what the speaker had instructed us to do. Additionally, the administrator could do instant polls – so he would ask, “How many of you have read any of Jack Canfield’s books? Press 1 If you have not read any of Jack’s books Press 2”. Then he announced the results immediately to the group. When it was time to ask the speaker a question, people would hit 5 for example. Then the administrator would say someone’s name, unmute them and that person could ask a question. It was really a personalized experience and interactive environment for learning.  2009 Capitol Quilt Show
My husband Larry & I put together a quilt of 30 Harley T-shirts. The shirts were purchased from different Harley shops we’ve ventured to over the years. It’s on display right outside the Governor’s office through August 20, 2009. So, if you go to see the quilts, vote for the Harley Travels!
The Colorado Quilting Council will showcase the talent of 250 Colorado quilters at the State Capitol this summer. This is a wonderful show of quilts in a spectacular setting that has impressed Coloradans and visitors to our state for many years. The show is free and is open to visitors during the normal building hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note that the Capitol is no longer open on Saturdays.

This was a fun site to work on and it benefits the Colorado Humane Society. I’m a dog lover and it’s a great cause! The race is in September and there’s also a Kids’ Fun Run. The Registration part of the site is using Active. Be a participant, volunteer or sponsor – Woof and Wag 5K

My mom and I went to the Antiques Road Show when it was filming in Denver. If it returns next year, I may apply to be a volunteer. That way I can see everything going on without waiting in those incredibly long lines. There were 5,000 people and 70 appraisers. We had fun and met some interesting people. I’ll be curious to see the show when it airs in January or February. ~ Anita
